Linus



It is with a very sad, broken heart I am letting you know that our sweet
 Linus died very unexpectedly this past Tuesday March 15th.

If you have picked up food from me then no doubt you were greeted by the wagging tails of our Westies: Linus and Angus and occasionally Sallie the Dog.

Because Linus was blind, we were always careful to make sure he was out of the way before driving up the driveway.  Although we will never know what happened on Tuesday, he somehow must have come in contact with my car as I was pulling in.  When I got out of my car he was standing on the patio and appeared startled.  
There were no external injuries, but I knew from his demeanor
 something was terribly wrong.

I took him immediately to the vet, where they started working on him. He had a tear in his abdomen wall and our hopes were to get him stabilized and
 transport him to a hospital for surgery. Sadly this was not to be.
 He went into cardiac arrest and died around 2:00 p.m.. 

We have found peace in the knowledge that he lived 8 and a half wonderful years and was happy and loved beyond belief.
 There is a unmistakable void in our house and our hearts. 
 We miss him terribly.
